By default, yes. Privacy mode sets no cookies, stores no personal data, and needs no consent banner. If you need to recognise returning visitors across sessions, you can switch any site to Full mode, which sets a first-party cookie and computes a browser fingerprint — you obtain consent for those sites.
Privacy mode (the default) collects only anonymous, aggregated analytics — no cookies, no fingerprint, no personal data. Full mode adds a persistent visitor ID (cookie + localStorage), a browser fingerprint, and engagement/scroll signals so you can track unique visitors across days and devices. You choose the mode per website, and can change it anytime.
Not for sites in Privacy mode — there are no cookies and no personal data, so no banner is required under the GDPR or ePrivacy Directive. If you enable Full mode for a site, that site sets cookies and processes personal data, so you must obtain valid visitor consent; you are the data controller for those sites.
Entirely within the European Union. There are no US subprocessors and no Cloud Act exposure — your analytics data never leaves the EU, in either mode.
No. The tracking script is under 1KB gzipped, loads with defer, and has no measurable impact on Core Web Vitals. It works with any stack — React, Next.js, WordPress, plain HTML.
